Ask The Master: 2 Nov 2007

Nov 2, 2007  at 10:58 AM

Q. Why do those who are enlightened set up establishments?

At one time, this path was meant to be traveled alone. Today, I feel it is my responsibility to spread the joy and benefit to all. Of course, you may say this is not true spirituality. All I can tell you, from my deepest personal experience, is that as Vivekananda says, true spirituality is not just to get enlightened but to spread the benefits of enlightenment to all. That is what I took this birth for! For that, whatever is necessary - including an establishment - I need to maintain.

Ask The Master: 1 Nov 2007

Nov 1, 2007  at 8:38 AM

Q. In spiritual matters, should we worry about others’ opinions or not?

As long as we are not a nuisance to anyone else, as long as we don’t interfere with the functioning of their lives, there is no need to bother about others’ opinions.

Joke Of The Day: 1 Nov 2007

  at 8:36 AM

Once a man died and found himself at the gates of heaven. St.Peter welcomed him in with a broad grin. The man sneered, “If there is no entry restriction out here, this is not the place for me.”

The tough ones don’t find refuge even at the gates of Heaven. That is why they come back yet another time!
